1914 Miracle Braves World Series Fenway Park Panorama

1914 Miracle Braves World Series Fenway Park Panorama

The 1914 World Series was unusual in that the victorious team did not play on its home field. The Boston Braves abandoned their home park, South End Grounds, in August while their new park was constructed. So after the Braves pulled off one of the greatest turnarounds in baseball history (from last place on July 4 to winning the pennant by 10.5 games), they rented Fenway Park from the crosstown Red Sox and swept the Philadelphia Phillies for the title. This delightful image with perfect contrast shows the 12-inning contest in the pivotal Game 3. The white cartouche legend reads "World Series-Braves 5 Athletics 4, 12 innings, Fenway Park, American League Grounds Oct. 12, 1914." The photo is by Riley and the image is stupendous. As far as panoramas go, this is the BEST WE HAVE EVER SEEN, showings all the details of Fenway. In its original frame, it is crisp, clean and perfect. Great, manageable size too at 33" x 9.5". The only one we have ever seen and fresh to the market, it is in magnificent condition and ready to hang on the wall!
