1915 NY Yankees Stock Certificate
From the first year of the Ruppert-Huston ownership, this unissued stock certificate was issued for the 1915 New York Yankees. The certificate itself measures 8.5x12" and has pinholes from display with the edge displaying some heavy toning and chipping. It also has the receipt portion attached, perforated and also with some tearing at the edge but the print portion is untouched, indicating that this was Certificate No. 99. The Yankees played that season at the Polo Grounds, as the original "House that Ruth Built" was not to be erected until 1923.
