1915 Sam Langford vs. Sam McVea Full Ticket
On November 23, 1915, heavyweights Sam Langford and Sam McVea fought at the American Sporting Club in New York. These two were old ring enemies, having fought nine times prior to this meeting with Langford winning four, losing two with three draws. This fight was declared a no contest after ten rounds. The New York Times called a draw, but the Associated Press had McVea winning eight of the ten rounds. Presented here is an extremely rare full ticket to the event. In EX condition with four small holes punches, stubs firmly attached, slight glue stains on the reverse, and minor fading. This is an extremely rare full ticket, possibly unique. It is the only full ticket for these two fighters known to have come to public sale.
