1915 Ty Cobb Tipping Cap Photo
Cobb captured in a photo looking as congenial as can be. Published in June of 1915 in conjunction with a story about a story being printed concerning the stealing of signals on the field. It was believed that Cobb authored a piece claiming that a manager owed his success to guilty doings. President Ban Johnson was not amused and promised to "go hard with him" if it turned out to be Cobb. 8 x 5-3/4" photo is NRMT.
