1923-24 Tomas Gutierrez Negro League Panoramic Premium Album
. One of the finest Negro League baseball pieces ever produced. Premium book similar to the 1880's Allen & Ginter's sports green cloth covers with gilt stampings advertising these Cuban cigarettes. Luxurious green cloth ties hold it closed. When opened there lies the wonderment. Nine individual pages folds out to 90x8.25" with the most magnificent Negro League images. Eighty-one images including a set of the 1923-24 Tomas Gutierrez baseball cards march out with the Santa Clara, Havana, Marianao and Almendares teams. Like a Who's Who of 1920's Negro League baseball: Pop Lloyd, Oscar Charleston, Cristobal Torriente, Marcelle, Dreke, Marsans, Crespo, Oms, Pedroso, Mendez, and Luque. This is the finest condition specimen we have seen (about 5 are known). Covers have some wear (overall VG-EX) and the pages are overall EX. Would look incredible unfurled and framed unfurled in all its glory.
