1926 World Series Game 4 Ticket Stub - Babe Ruth Hits 3 Home Runs "Johnny Sylvester Game" PSA Authentic
Ticket stub from Game 4 of the 1926 World Series, notable as Babe Ruth lived up to his legend in crashing three homers in a 10-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Before the game, Ruth promised a deathly ill Johnny Sylvester that he would hit a home run for him. Miraculously, after Ruth's performance, Sylvester recovered from his sickness. Unlike the Bambino, this stub has seen better days as a torn portion from the top has been repaired by tape (visible on back), there is prominent paper loss to the lower right corner, and there is general wear throughout. Still, it remains a keepsake from a monumental moment; only five times in Major League history has a player homered three times in a playoff game, and Ruth remains the only player to ever accomplish the feat twice. Encapsulated by PSA, graded Stub Authentic.
