Yankees For Al Smith with Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig (1928)

Yankees For Al Smith with Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig (1928)

The caption on the back of this photo says these Yankee players are "rabid Smith fans." While they don't exactly look rabid over 1928 presidential hopeful Al Smith they do look pretty impressive. Left to right they are: Benny Bengough, Waite Hoyt, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, Joe Dugan, Mark Koenig, Bob Meusel, Earl Combs, Babe Ruth and Eddie Bennett the famed Yankee mascot. The image was originally owned by Mrs. Lou Gehrig and it measures 7.5"x5.5"
