Conceived in 1927, the Bustin' Babe's and Larrupin' Lou's barnstorming tour was a smashing success. Capitalizing on the hype generated by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig's season-long, home-run duel that year, the tour was held immediately following the season and saw Ruth and Gehrig travel the country to showcase their talents in locales bereft of a Major League club. The tour produced one of the most iconic photos of all time, Ruth with his arm around Gehrig in their respective uniforms, and helped contribute to the duo's mythic standing in the country. This lineup card from the 1927 edition of the event (it was revived in 1928) features a stylish Lou Gehrig signature, which rates perfect 10/10, next to his first-base position. There is a fold crease through the middle of the team sheet, with a header that reads "ALL STAR BASEBALL TEAM, 1927." The title is a little misleading, though, as aside from Ruth and Gehrig, the teams were comprised of strictly local players. Comes authenticated and graded a perfect 10/10 from PSA.
