1927 Ty Cobb Philadelphia A's Type I Photograph
<p>Incredible Type I <span style="font-size: 10pt;">3.5x4.5" image of a beaming Ty Cobb in Philadelphia A's uniform. We believe this is from his first day or so in Philly as he is posed this way. No doubt Cobb was happy to be back on the field after being exiled from the Tigers for alleged gambling improprieties. The Georgia Peach is in full grin in the dugout, most likely during spring training as he appears to be wearing an undergarment to make him sweat. The upper margin of the photo has some paper loss. </span></p>
