1929-30 Aurele Joliet's Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship Stick Pin
The closing season of the Roaring Twenties was dominated by the likes of Howie Morenz, Aurele Joliet and George Hainsworth as the Montreal squad swept the Boston Bruins in the 1930 Stanley Cup Finals. To commemorate their victory, each member of the Montreal Canadiens was presented with a diminutive (3") stick pin handcrafted in stunning platinum. The pin, in the design of vintage one-piece hockey stick, is inscribed with "Champions 1930" and inset with a trio of precious gems in red, white and blue. The back of the pin is stamped with the Karat mark and "PLAT". This example came from the personal possessions of Habs hero and Hall-of-Famer Aurele Joliet. The collection, obtained from Aurele by a long-time Canadiens employee, included three of his game worn jerseys, signed team photos and other mementos from Joliet's stellar career. Truly a historic treasure from this pre-war sniper. Complete with detailed Letter of Authenticity outlining the provenance.
