1929 Spalding Tennis Trainer with Dated 1929 Ball in Original Box

1929 Spalding Tennis Trainer with Dated 1929 Ball in Original Box

At the turn of the 20th century, former pro baseball player Albert Spalding helped change the landscape of America by bringing his recreational sporting goods to the masses. This marvelous tennis trainer is dated from 1929, and appears to have all the pieces intact. The underside of the cover on the original box bears an instruction sheet heralding, "The Perfect KUM-BAK Tennis Trainer," and the wooden supports bracketed a hanging ball which was used to improve form. The original ball is also included, with the Spalding brand stamp and year 1929. There's some water and edge damage to the box, but the contents appear as though they would remain fully functional today.
