1929 St. Mary's Brother Mathias Won't Lie to Save Babe Ruth from Tax Problems Letter
Killer content letter regarding Babe Ruth's ongoing tax issues. Christy Walsh's right hand man has requested Ruth's legendary mentor, Brother Mathias, to help Babe out with 1923 tax issue. Apparently Mathias "received nothing" at home at the school. On St. Mary's stationery. Superintendent Brother Benjamin is "more than willing to help 'Babe' out," but in the end they need to do the "right thing." Original envelope with Baltimore postal mark. Amazing.
