1929 Walter Johnson and Billy Evans by Louis Van Oeyen
Type 1 Photo of two Hall of Famers. Johnson was one of the original five inductees into the Hall of Fame, and is being interviewed by fellow Hall of Famer Billy Evans. This famed American League Hall of Fame umpire was known as "The Boy Umpire", the youngest ever major league umpire at 21. He later became a sportswriter, and two years after his umpiring career he is cordially grilling Johnson, still the "Big Train" with the Senators. This was photographed by famed Louis Van Oeyen, one of the greatest and our favorite over Conlon, Brale, and Bain.
