1930 World Series Oversized Photo with Ruth and Cobb
This great photo is completely original, right down to its frame just as it hung on Christy Walsh's wall. All the wording on the photo is hand-crafted and reads: "ST. LOUIS VS. PHILADELPHIA - WORLD SERIES 1930." The seven individuals posed in the shot are also identified by last name: "RUTH, McGRAW, STREET, WALSH, MACK, ALTROCK and COBB." This is the photo from which the vintage ones were made. The contrast and clarity are perfect but for a blurred Ty Cobb, who was probably moving when the photo was being taken. The condition appears EX-MT. The Athletics won their fifth and final World Series in Philadelphia that season before moving to Kansas City. At the time, that total was tied with the Boston Red Sox for most ever. Framed size 18x14"
