1932 World Series Oversized Photograph with Ruth

1932 World Series Oversized Photograph with Ruth

Whether or not Babe Ruth actually called his home run at Wrigley Field, the 1932 Fall Classic remains one of the most talked-about postseason series of all-time, culminating in a Yankees sweep. This all-original photo comes in its original frame and looks exactly as it did when it hung in Christy Walsh's office. This was used to make the vintage prints that are sometimes seen. All wording is hand-crafted and reads: "YANKEES VS. CUBS - WORLD SERIES 1932" with the six posed individuals named as well: ALTROCK, RUTH, McCARTHY, WALSH, GRIMM and McGRAW." The lot appears in EX-MT condition with one light, dime-sized spot at the bottom. The clarity and contrast are near-perfect, however. Framed size 20x15 inches.
