1930s-40s New York Yankees Baseball Photographs (18)
Nice collection of (18) vintage wire photos pertaining to the New York Yankee. Classic images from the 1930's to the 1950's include several of long-time president Ed Barrow. In one sweetly sentimental photo he is shown, at the age of 82, being kissed on the cheeks by the widows of Ruth and Gehrig. Tommy Heinrich, Yanks outfielder, is the subject of (5) photos, the best showing the big send off he was given by his coaches & teammates (Dickey, Houk, Reynolds and more) in 1954. Photos are front captioned or have caption sheets affixed to versos. Condition ranges from VG to MT, with many on the better end. Sizes range from 4.5 x7" to 8 x 12".
