1930s Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Dual-Signed Baseball (PSA)

1930s Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Dual-Signed Baseball (PSA)

Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig made up an unbeatable combination in the heart of the New York Yankees' batting order in the 1920s and first half of the 1930s. The Hall of Famers played together for a dozen seasons (1923-34), hoisting havoc on their American League competition, and against the National League pennant winner - as the Bronx Bombers won four of five World Series during the joint Ruth/Gehrig years. The duo individually led the American League numerous times in batting categories in the years they were Yankee teammates: Home Runs - Ruth (8), Gehrig (3); RBIs - Ruth (2), Gehrig (5); Runs - Ruth (5), Gehrig (4); Batting Average: Ruth (1), Gehrig (1); OBP - Ruth (7), Gehrig (5); SLG - Ruth (8), Gehrig (2); OPS - Ruth (8), Gehrig (3). They are the best dual batters in history. And now presented is the opportunity to possess a dual-signed baseball from these all-time best combination power threats. The signed ball is hobby fresh. It presents beautifully with its side-by-side autograph placement, with Ruth signing on the sweet spot and Gehrig signing next to Ruth. Both the Babe and the Iron Horse signed with dark blue or black ink from a fountain pen. The Goldsmith Official League Ball has some darkening because of age, and in a few small spots the skin of the ball has rubbed off. Despite the aforementioned minor imperfections, the baseball is in very good to excellent condition. Ruth's signature rates 8/10 and Gehrig's signature rates 7/10. Sometimes heard is the saying, "Less is more." In this instance, more is more. To have a signed ball with either of these immortals' signature is to have a prized possession. To have both the Babe and the Iron Horse signing the same ball - just these marvelous Yankee sluggers and no one else - is to have a dual-signed ball for the ages. PSA LOA.
