1930s Django Reinhardt Le Hot Club de France Concert Poster

1930s Django Reinhardt Le Hot Club de France Concert Poster

Rare and important poster of a major artist at his legendary venue. Vintage wall-sized, 15x22” two-color poster heralding the appearance of Belgian born jazz great Django Reinhardt at the unforgettable Le Hot Club de France during the classic 1930s. To this day, the Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington influenced Reinhardt arguably remains the most influential guitarist to ever emerge from Europe, touting such mega hits as Belleville, Are You In The Mood and Ultra Fox. Besides being one of the greatest performers of his era, Reinhardt also served as an inspiration to many after he continued playing guitar even after losing two of his fingers in a 1928 fire. Has chips on the borders, overall VG+, but linen mounting gives a fresh clean look. Made famous by the fine Sean Penn film "Sweet and Lowdown."
