1930s Japanese Team March Baseball Kimono - The Nippon Collection
Finest quality lightweight, child size kimono has beautiful graphics of a baseball team on the march. Other illustrations include baseball gloves, catcher's mask, bat and more. Probably worn during the yearly tradition of watching the National High School Championship Series in August. Features open armpits (as is the norm) and attached drawstrings. From the Nippon Baseball Kimono Collection, an important archive of baseball and other sports-themed kimonos recently discovered in Japan and exported to the United States. Compiled over many decades they are the finest we have seen.
