1931 Cardinals Team Composite

1931 Cardinals Team Composite

The Cardinals of the 1930's symbolized a rough and tumble spirit that led to them being called the Gashouse Gang. None of the squads were a better example of this than the 1931 group. Frankie Frisch, the club's spiritual leader, was their heart and soul, but they had lots of good ones. Dean, Bottomley, Haley and Grimes were also formidable talents. Together they outdueled Philadelphia in seven games to take the World Series. This team photo (13-1/4 x 9-1/2"), broken into oval shaped parts for each player, was produced by Sid Whiting Photos. It's 18 x 14" matted and framed. NR-MT condition.
