1932 Olympic Kimono - The Nippon Collection
Inspired by Japan's trip to the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles. Graphics reverently depict an ocean liner, the Olympic stadium, sheet music, a Japanese athlete winning a trophy and more. Kids size garment has detached armpits (as is the norm) and attached drawstings. From the Nippon Baseball Kimono Collection, an important archive of baseball and other sports-themed kimonos recently discovered in Japan and exported to the United States. Compiled over many decades they are the finest we have seen.
