1934-39 Lou Gehrig Signed OAL Harridge Baseball (PSA)

1934-39 Lou Gehrig Signed OAL Harridge Baseball (PSA)

Sometime over the last few years of Lou Gehrig's remarkable life (1934-39), the Iron Horse signed this Official American League (Harridge) baseball, which displays as single-signed with Gehrig on sweet spot. Signatures on other panels have been covered, but it is impossible to tell with the naked eye. Gehrig died of ALS, a disease that now bears his name, in 1941 at the age of 37. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame the year he retired (1939) instead of the five-year mandatory waiting period, due to his rapidly declining health. The ball appears EX-MT+ with bold label and comes with PSA.
