1934 Concordia Eagles Team Photo with Martin Dihigo (8"x10")

1934 Concordia Eagles Team Photo with Martin Dihigo (8"x10")

Original team photo taken in Venezuela shows the Concordia team that dominated the league and headlines throughout the 1932-34 seasons. Their success, exciting and entertaining as it was to witness, came as no surprise given the fact that they were sponsored by the son of the Venezuela's dictator, Juan Vincente Gomez and featured a line-up that read like a Latin All Star team roster. Amongst those who took the field were: Player/ Manager Martin Dihigo (member of the Mexican, Cuban, and American Halls of Fame), Alejandro Ohms, Luis Aparicio, Sr., Tetelo Vargas, and Silvio Ruiz. Needless to say, they won the National Championship the same year this photo was snapped in 1934. Overall the photo is EX-MT, with editing marks on the reverse, and signed in fountain ink by the photographer at the bottom. Measures 8"x10".
