1935 Hamilton Tigers Tour of England Collection With Team Signed Program (3)
The three items in this lot include a Canadian Pacific Steamship program, a Wembley All Stars vs. Hamilton Tigers game program and an England vs. Canada game program. The near mint Canadian Pacific Steamship program’s cover has in bold gold print, “His Majesty King George Silver Jubilee 1935” with the noble Royal Crest in gold, red navy and forest green hues. Tied with a navy ribbon at the spine, turn it over to reveal the clear signatures of 11 Hamilton Tigers on the back signed in black ink. The program is in pristine condition inside, which reveals the events and menu of the Jubilee, which took place on May 6th of ‘35. The Wembley All Stars vs. Hamilton Tigers game program is also in near mint condition and has a bold red and light green hockey illustration on the cover. At the top in bright red it says, “The Empire Pool & Sports Arena, Wembley”. At the bottom in red and black, “Ice Hockey, Wembley All-Stars v. Hamilton Tigers Thursday, April 25th 1935, at 8 P.M., Magazine Programme Sixpence”. The clean inside has articles and team information. The last item, a B&W England vs. Canada game program, is in excellent condition and says on the cover, “Streatham Ice Rink, Programme of International Ice Hockey Match, England v Canada, Represented by Hamilton Tigers, Wednesday April 24th 1935.” The inside has player’s names for England and Canada, and the back advertises the May 6th Jubilee Night.
