Only given to players, this exquisite Near Mint 10 karat gold pin was Hall of Famer Luke Appling’s personal award for being chosen to the 1939 AL All Star team. Measures .75” in the shape of a baseball diamond with a diamond at each base. Base paths are enameled blue with the gold lettering, “American League All Star Game”. Raised baseball in the center with raised lettering: “New York 1939”. “Luke Appling” engraved nicely onto the pin back, which is intact and perfect with “Dieges & Clust, 10 karat” stamped below.
