Dated April 10, 1939, Robert Ripley sent this letter to Babe Ruth asking him to participate in a charity softball game at the Madison Square Garden. Scheduled for May 9th, the "Entire box office receipts of the game will go to the Boys' Club." On beautiful "Believe It or Not!" letterhead, this letter is personally signed by Robert Ripley and even mentions the other celebrities who've already committed including Col. Teddy Roosevelt, Eddie Rickenbacker, Tom Dewey and Gene Tunny. PSA authenticated and comes with an LOA.
