1940's-50's St Louis Browns Game Used Baseball Cap

1940's-50's St Louis Browns Game Used Baseball Cap

The St. Louis Browns had a little run of success during WWII when the league's best players were at war. Here is a great baseball relic from that era from a team that never quite captured the fans of St. Louis. This game used St. Louis Browns baseball cap comes from the 40's or early 50's. It has the number 18 written inside in three spots: twice in the sweatband and once inside the front. The wool fitted cap is a size 7 made by Tim McAuliffe Inc. It shows use with staining in the sweatband, but the hat itself is solid: the flannel has rich color and the bill is stiff.
