1940's Banned Mexican League Players Postcard Set
Complete set of twelve unusual real photo (?) postcards includes banned players of the Mexican League fiasco of 1946. Attractive set is the first we have seen and includes Sal Maglie, Danny Gardella, Max Lanier, Lou Poliquin, Roger & Stan Breard, Roy Zimmerman, Roberto Vargas, Joe Tuminelli, Conrado Prez, and Jerry Cotnoir. This team was in the Provincial League in Canada (Quebec province). Elaborate French speaking photographer's hand stamped cartouche on verso. Unposted with some slight foxing on the backs, otherwise NRMT.
