1940s Marty Marion Game-Used Glove

1940s Marty Marion Game-Used Glove

Every nick and scratch on this fabulous mitt worn by seven-time All-Star Marty Marion seems to tell a story about the distiguished career of Marty Marion, the premier defensive shortstop of the '40s and anchor of three Cardinal championship teams. The forerunner of the "tall" shortstop, the graceful Marion, known as "The Octopus" for his long arms, copped four fielding titles. His Rawlings G-600 "floating heel" mitt etched "Martin Marion" may be very well-worn but the buttery leather and tight laces attest to his nobility and is a real keeper. Comes with LOA from Marion's son.
