1941 Cleveland Indians Season Pass - Valid For DiMaggio's 56th Game Hitting Streak - PSA VG 4 (Highest Graded)
1941 Cleveland Indians season pass issued to "International News Ph. Inc." Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. This is the ONLY example of this particular pass graded at this level, with NONE graded higher. It is also one of only three such examples listed in the PSA Population Report. What makes this pass so significant, and which is duly noted on the PSA label, is that it granted entry to the final game of Joe DiMaggio's historic 56-game hitting streak, which took place at League Park in Cleveland on July 16, 1941. It also granted entry to games 17, 18, and 19 in DiMaggio's hitting streak, which took place at Cleveland Stadium on June 1st (doubleheader) and June 2nd. Lastly, the bearer of this ticket would have been able to witness the end of DiMaggio's streak, which occurred on July 17th at Cleveland Stadium. Tickets from any of the games during DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak are scarce and have always been highly coveted by collectors. The offered example is unique in that it covers four of the games, including the highly significant final game. The pass (4x2.5"), which is numbered "938," is dated "1941" on the top and bears both the "Cleveland Baseball Club" name and logo on the front. An outstanding high-grade souvenir commemorating what is perhaps the greatest individual feat in the history of baseball.
