1943 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed Baseball
Though not a season Connie Mack would have preferred to be remembered by (his team finished last), this team-signed '43 Philadelphia A's ball is still a monster thanks to a nonpareil signature on the sweet spot that dominates the ball, as well it should. Mack's marker, in fact, is the only one that hasn't faded -- gods' signatures don't fade, after all -- and grades a wickedly high 9/10. There are 23 sigs in all on the Reach Official League ball, others including Elmer Valo, Russ Christopher, Hal Wagner, Eddie Mayo, Bob Swift, Don Heffner, Tom Clyde, Dick Seibert, Luman Harris, etc. These average 7/10. Unofficial ball is EX-MT.
