1943 San Quentin Prison Escape Negatives (59)
In the fall of 1943 several prisoners escaped from San Quentin prison and went on the run. They were eventually captured. This lot of vintage 4 x 5’’ negatives related to that event; includes Jailbreakers in the Oakland Pen after being captured, captain of the guards CL Doose, prisoners returning to San Quentin, individual photos of the escapees, Gov.
