1944 Old Timers Game at the Polo Grounds
One of the earliest New York OTer's games was played for the 5th War Loan Drive. The ex-stars of the three New York teams (Dodgers, Giants, Yankees) met to genuflect their patriotism: Zack Wheat, Bill Klem, Herb Pennock, Roger Bresnahan, George Wiltse (wearing 1905 uniform), Wally Schang, Otto Miller and Nap Rucker.
