1945 Tommy Gorman Signed Letter
Tommy Gorman was one of those rare individuals that truly had the Midas touch. He helped four franchises snare Stanley Cups. In 1917, he took over the Ottawa Senators and helped lead the team to four Cups. In 1934 he took over the Blackhawks and led them to their Cup. Then it was on to Montreal and helped the Maroons to their final Cup in 1935. In 1941 he took over the Canadiens and led them to two more Cup victories. In 1963, two years after his death, he was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Typed letter signed in 9/10 black ink. Very tough signature. This is the only letter of his that we have ever handled. Letter itself is VG.
