1945 Turk Broda War Letter to Hap Day with Extras
Three-page handwritten letter from goaltending great Walter Broda to his friend and coach Hap Day. Great hockey content as Broda wishes his friend and his teammates good luck in the upcoming Stanley Cup Playoffs (the Leafs would go on to win!). Dated Mar 22, 1945 and signed “Turk”. Comes with a copy of Happy’s typed reply following the Cup win. A poignant piece of war-time correspondence between two of Toronto’s hockey heroes.
