1946 American League All Star Team Signed Baseball
The fans were ecstatic at the 1946 All-Star Game in Boston. The war was over and America could once again enjoy the national pastime. The highlight of this game was the match-up of Ted Williams and Rip Sewell, the proud possessor of the “ephus” pitch. Sewell served Williams his famous trademark and although he struggled at first, he went four-for-four, driving in five runs. The 23 signatures include Teddy Ballgame, Bob Feller, Bobby Doerr, Luke Appling, Joe Gordon, Bill Dickey, Ken Keltner, Vern Stephens and Charlie Keller. The signatures average 6/10, while ball is evenly toned to a pleasing EX.
