1948 Babe Ruth's Final Appearance Ticket Stub - One of Two Known (PSA)

1948 Babe Ruth's Final Appearance Ticket Stub - One of Two Known (PSA)

Just weeks after his final appearance at Yankee Stadium and in failing health with terminal cancer, Babe Ruth made his last public appearance. New York's Astor Theatre was the site of the premiere of the movie The Babe Ruth Story, and this ticket stub dates to July 26, 1948, encapsulated by PSA as Authentic. On August 16, the Bambino passed away into legend, lying in state at Yankee Stadium before his funeral at St. Patrick's Cathedral, a New York icon to the end.
