1948 James Dean Twice-Signed High School Yearbook (PSA)
One of the most iconic actors of all time despite a fleeting career, James Dean twice-signed this 1948 yearbook from Fairmont High School in Indiana. The Black and Gold yearbook has its original owner's name, Patsy Brown, written on the first page, and is complete. It has some wear at the spine and has been taped inside with a few loose pages. The front and back covers also show some wear and small tears at the edges, while the inside pages are nice. Jimmy Dean is pictured on his class page along with other underclassmen. He is also pictured with the Junior class play members and again on the basketball team page, where he has signed in blue 7/10 ink squarely on his photo. Dean has also signed, along with other class members, on the blank page at the back of the book, and his signature in blue ink rates 7.5/10. As a bonus, he included his nickname "Rack." The signature was at one time cut out of the book but later taped back in, though the tape does not affect the signature. The yearbook comes with a detailed handwritten letter from Marcus Winslow, whose parents housed Dean while he attended Fairmont High School. Upon graduating in 1949, Dean moved back to California, where he chose to pursue acting full time. A few years later, he became a star. Comes certified by PSA.
