1950s-60s Topps Baseball Card Backs Original Artwork from 1989 Topps Auction (83)
A tremendous array of original Topps artwork coming from the Topps Archives of the small cartoons on the backs of cards, which helped inform young collectors about their favorite players. Many of the larger panels have, "The TOPPS Auction August 1989." We refer to these as CARD-TOONS. There are 80 total players involved, with singles, single panels, and larger panels containing five players. Most have their player's name neatly written in pencil in lower left corners and the card number somewhere in the card-toon.
