1952 Luke Easter Cleveland Indians Baseball Contract
Though his Major League stint was rather brief, Luke Easter is an important name in baseball history. Easter, known for his titanic home runs, won the final Negro League World Series in 1948 before being signed by the Cleveland Indians the following year. This contract comes from his 1952 season with the Indians, the last successful one in his playing career before nagging injuries forced his retirement two years later. It is NM, and signed by William Harridge, Hank Greenberg, and Easter, who was shot and killed in 1979 for the payroll he was carrying.
