1953 Howdy Doody Frozen Treats Ice Cream Circus Jig Saw Trading Cards (22)
The 42-card Howdy Doody Ice Cream set from 1953 is so rare it never got enter into the American Card Catalog or any of the price guides. One card was given with each Howdy Doody Ice Cream Treat purchased. Each card could have its center removed to make a puzzle piece. When all 42 pieces were punched out and put together, they formed a complete circus puzzle. The cards consist of the characters from the popular 1950s TV show in different circus actives. This is the largest known grouping of these cards and they are unpunched and overall in NRMT condition. Lot includes cards numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 31, 33, 35, and 39. More than half of this set in one place, an amazing find!
