1954 Negro Minstrels at Baseball Park Poster
Whether they were performed by Caucasians or African-Americans, minstrel shows shamefully lampooned black people, oftentimes as lazy buffoons, with cartoonish blackface being the signature physical attribute. This colorful 14" x 22" window card promoting a live show in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, during the Jim Crow era shows some edge wear but otherwise displays exceptionally well.
