1957 and 1958 Milwaukee Braves Black Bats

1957 and 1958 Milwaukee Braves Black Bats

Red Schoendienst spent the vast majority of his long baseball career with the St. Louis organization. However, he did find success during a four-year stint with the Milwaukee Braves between 1957 and 1960. The slick-fielding second baseman and career .289 hitter helped the Braves win the World Series in his first year with the club and make a return appearance in the Fall Classic the following season. In recognition of his association with those pennant-winning teams, Red was presented with these two bats by Hillerich and Bradsby and both are in EX-MT condition. Each bat has engraved the names of Red and his teammates those seasons.
