1958-59 Montreal Canadiens Presentational Stanley Cup Trophy (13" tall)
Lord Stanley's Holy Grail! Original 1959 Stanley Cup miniature trophy is one of the rarest and most sought after trophies in the hobby. This silver plated Holy Grail is one of only 2 known to exist from this particular championship season. Presented to Howard Hamilton for his contribution with the Montreal Canadiens in winning the Stanley Cup Trophy is engraved on the front is: “Presented to H.W. Hamilton on the occasion of the winning of the League Championship and the Stanley Cup by Club de Hockey Candien inc. 1958-1959.” Below is a complete roster with “Maurice Richard <i>Captain</i>” on top. Overall Excellent. This resplendent Stanley Cup is one of only 5 that were ever made. These were presented only to the executives following the 1958-59 season, making this one that much more appealing. It has retained its lovely glow, despite its vintage 1959 origin, and boasts a delightful patina, giving it an ever-so-slight golden glow.
