Peter Pocklington’s 1985 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup Championship Ring

Peter Pocklington’s 1985 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup Championship Ring

On November 1st, 1978, while a 17-year-old Wayne Gretzky waited anxiously onboard a Lear Jet flight bound for nowhere, Peter Pocklington closed the negotiations with Indianapolis Racers owner Nelson Skalbania and the pilot set course for Edmonton. Peter Pocklington brought Wayne Gretzky to Edmonton. And Edmonton into the NHL. That, nobody can deny. Stanley Cup glory manifested in stunning 14K gold. The tableau of this breathtaking ring displays a large (1.5 carat) solitaire real diamond ringed by smaller white diamonds with the words “1985 Stanley Cup Champions”. The left shank features a pair of raised Stanley Cups with “84” and “85” and the motivational image of the carrot below “Edmonton Oilers”. The words “Pocklington” and “Owner” share the opposite shank with the raised image of the Oilers logo. In pristine condition, complete with Letter of Authenticity signed by Peter Pocklington.
