1960's Lady Byng Memorial Trophy (12")
Astounding award with engraved inscription proclaiming “Vicountess Byng Vimy Memorial Trophy, replacing the Vicountess Byng of Vimy Challenge Cup presented to the National Hockey League, 1935, to Encourage Clean Sportsmanship”. Identical in every way to the personal trophy awarded each year to the game’s most gentlemanly player. This example is certainly vintage and has aged in appearance with a wonderful patina. Presented in the late 1960’s by the National Hockey League to former Boston Bruins Vice President Charles Mulcahy. Letter of Authenticity signed by Charles Mulcahy.
