1960-61 Oscar Robertson Cincinnati Royals MVP Award
Unsurprisingly, in addition to being the NBA's Rookie of the Year and a First-Team All-NBA selection, Oscar Robertson was named the Cincinnati Royals' MVP for the 1960-61 season. Robertson torched the league in his first year as a professional basketball player, averaging 30.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 9.7 assists per game, nearly good enough for a triple-double per game. The Royals award comes in the form of an elegant silver-plated tray with ornate trim. Engraved on the face is "ROYALS MOST VALUABLE PLAYER 1960-61 SEASON OSCAR ROBERTSON FROM THE ROYALS BOOSTER CLUB." It is in EX condition with some minor surface scratches. Robertson's auspicious start was a definite sign of things to come, as he was voted one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history in 1996.
