1962 AL All-Star Team Signed Baseball
The AL broke out of a 5-game slump with 9-4 win at Wrigley Field in 1962 All-Star Game #2, equaling their run total for the previous five games. But they wouldn't win again for nearly a decade. This Official NL (Giles) ball was, incongruously, signed by 27 members of the winning AL squad including a real signature (NOT clubhouse, as is often the case with his All-Star ball markers) from Mickey Mantle, joining fellow HOFers Kaline, Aparicio, Berra, B. Robinson & Bunning, as well as Maris, Pappas, Gentile, Siebern, Colavito, Battey, Wagner, Howard, Terry, Richardson, Tresh, Rollins, Runnels, Herbert, , etc. Sigs are uniformly faded and average 4-5/10 while the ball is EX+ and nearly spotless.
