1963 Gerry Schultz Fiberglass Goalie Mask

1963 Gerry Schultz Fiberglass Goalie Mask

The name of Gerry Shultz is well known among goalies from Western Canada. This Edmonton mask maker fitted pros and amateurs in the Edmonton area throughout the Sixties and Seventies. His clients included WHA and NHL goalies such as Ken Brown, Chris Worthy, Jack Norris and most notably Grant Fuhr (his first Oilers masks). This early Sixties model was built by Gerry to wear himself when he roamed the nets for the University of Alberta. A solid cream-painted example with interior pads intact. Gerry’s manufacturer label is still there on the inside.
