1964 Washington Senators Team Signed Baseball
Manager Gil Hodges' autograph on this EX-MT Official American League (Cronin) baseball stands alone on the sweet spot, as if to disassociate from this 62-100 bunch. Sure, they were losers but they had plenty of winners like Hodges who made their mark elsewhere. Claude Osteen won a World Series as a starter for the Dodgers in 1965. Don Zimmer played with Hodges on Brooklyn's 1955 title winner. All of these men have left their mark on the sphere, in addition to: Don Blassingame, Ed Brinkman, Jim Bronstad, Mike Brumley, Chuck Hinton, John Kennedy, Jim King, Don Lock, Dick Phillips, Fred Valentine, and even coaches Hobie Landrith, Sid Hudson, George Susce and Ed Yost. A whopping 30 signatures in all, grading an average of 7-8. Originally given to a Secret Service agent by President Lyndon Johnson from his personal collection, most likely as a retirement gift.
